Famous Indian television actress Deepika Kakkar, known for her role in Sasural Simar Ka, recently shared details about her recovery journey after undergoing surgery for Stage 2 liver cancer. Diagnosed in May 2025, she was found to have a tumor the size of a tennis ball in her liver.

In a recent vlog shared by her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, Deepika responded to questions from concerned fans. She revealed that the reason behind her speedy recovery was the use of robotic surgery.

> “My doctor insisted on robotic surgery from the start. However, they always kept a backup plan in case complications arose, which might require open surgery,” she explained.

Fortunately, the robotic surgery was successful. The affected organs were removed through her previous C-section scar, avoiding a large abdominal incision. In total, six small robotic stitches were used instead of one large cut, which is common in traditional open surgeries.
