The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has officially raised concerns against Diljit. Their objection stems from the casting of Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3, a move they claim undermines national sentiment—especially after recent incidents involving terror attacks in sensitive Indian areas like Pahalgam.

In a formal letter addressed to India’s Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, FWICE demanded the withdrawal of filming permissions granted to Border 2 at the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Pune.

According to the letter, FWICE claims that Diljit participated in a project featuring “individuals known for anti-national views” and that his association with Pakistani artists “hurts national unity.”They argue that:

Diljit’s collaboration with a Pakistani actress immediately after a terror incident is insensitive

The setting of the film—NDA grounds—is a symbol of national sacrifice, making his involvement inappropriate

They have even called for the cancellation of his Indian citizenship and demanded that his social media handles be banned in India.

Will Diljit Be Removed from Border 2?

While the outrage is loud, insiders have revealed to Hindustan Times that Diljit’s removal is unlikely at this stage. Sources say:

Nearly half the film has already been shot

Removing him now would be logistically and financially difficult
