Indian television actress and model Nausheen Ali Sardar has revealed that matchmaker Seema Taparia refused to help her find a life partner only because of her Muslim identity.
The actress expressed disappointment over being judged by her religion rather than her personality or preferences.
The Shocking Revelation
In a candid interview on Siddharth Kannan’s YouTube show, Nausheen shared that during the Covid-19 period, she approached Seema Taparia for assistance in finding a match.
However, to her surprise, Seema allegedly declined, stating that she could not help Nausheen because she was a Muslim.
Criticism of Seema Taparia’s Views
Nausheen criticized Seema Taparia’s traditional views about women, calling them outdated. She expressed frustration that despite Seema’s own diverse family background—her father being Punjabi and her mother Iranian—she still judged Nausheen solely based on religion.
The actress mentioned that she had openly said she was ready to marry someone from a Catholic, Sikh, or Punjabi background, but Seema still refused to proceed.
A Career Beyond Controversy
Nausheen Ali Sardar rose to fame in the early 2000s with the hit TV show Kkusum, where she played the lead role. She later appeared in popular series like The Adventures of Hatim and Alif Laila, gaining wide recognition.
