Bollywood’s powerhouse performer, Ranveer Singh, known for his intense and versatile roles in blockbusters like Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, is now venturing into the world of science fiction.
According to reports, Ranveer is in early discussions with producer Dinesh Vijan and director Amit Ravindernath Sharma for a big-budget film centered around time travel blended with ancient Indian mythology.
A Unique Concept: Sci-Fi Meets Mythology
Sources close to the project told Pinkvilla that the actor has already heard the concept and is very impressed by the story’s vision.
> “This is not your typical time-travel film. It deeply ties into Indian mythological tales, offering a fresh take on the genre,” a source revealed.
While Ranveer hasn’t officially signed the film yet, insiders suggest he is seriously considering the role. The script is still under development, and more updates, including casting, are expected by the end of 2025.
Production Timeline and Future Meetings
As of now, the writing team is working on the full screenplay, and Ranveer is expected to meet the filmmakers again after wrapping up his current film, “Dhurandhar.”
“Dhurandhar” is a spy-action thriller directed by Aditya Dhar, where Ranveer stars alongside an ensemble cast featuring R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. The film is slated for a December 2025 release.
