In a resurfaced interview clip that recently went viral, Emraan Hashmi said he has come to terms with his popular image.
> “I’ve accepted that the ‘Serial Kisser’ tag is now part of my identity. I don’t intend to run away from it anymore,” he shared.
He recalled a humorous moment while watching his film Tum Mile. In one scene, where the audience expected a kiss, he didn’t go through with it. A person sitting next to him jokingly asked,
“Emraan, were you sick during this scene or what?”

Emraan explained that audience expectations shape an actor’s choices.
> “It’s like when Salman Khan doesn’t take off his shirt in a film — fans feel something’s missing,” he said.
“With me, people expect a kiss. It’s something they’ve come to associate with my work.”

Speaking about how his family views his bold image, Emraan was candid.
> “My family understands that this is my profession and how I earn. My wife and father have objections to how intimate some scenes get, but they also know I’ve made these choices to sustain my career,” he explained.
“They may not like it, but they respect the purpose behind it.”
