The hit drama serial Shehr, starring Danish Taimoor and Sara Khan, has become the talk of the town due to its gripping storyline and stellar performances. But in a surprising turn of events, emerging actress Sehr Hashmi revealed that she was originally considered for the lead role before Sara Khan was finalized.

Sehr Hashmi’s Shocking Revelation

In an exclusive interview with Fuchsia Magazine, Sehr Hashmi disclosed that she was approached for the role of Dr. Fajar, now played by Sara Khan.

> “For over a year and a half, I heard the makers were interested in casting me opposite Danish Taimoor. I even had multiple meetings with the director regarding Shehr,” Sehr stated.

However, due to her newcomer status, the production team was hesitant to cast a relatively fresh face in such a massive project.

Why She Wasn’t Cast in ‘Shehr

> “It’s difficult for producers to take a risk on new talent when millions are being invested. They want guaranteed returns,” she added.

Eventually, Sehr was offered another role by 7th Sky Entertainment in the drama Mann Mast Malang after director Ali Faizan saw her potential for a different character.
