Mallika Sherawat’s Comment on Shefali Jariwala’s Death Sparks Controversy; Rakhi Sawant Hits Back

The unexpected passing of actress and dancer Shefali Jariwala has left the Indian entertainment industry in deep mourning. Known for her iconic song “Kaanta Laga“, Shefali died on June 27, 2025, at the age of 42. Her death, reportedly caused by low blood pressure after fasting and taking anti-aging supplements, raised emotional responses from fans and celebrities alike.

Mallika Sherawat’s Video Sparks Outrage

A day after Shefali’s death, actress Mallika Sherawat posted a video on social media that ignited controversy. In her video, Mallika urged fans to reject Botox and cosmetic fillers, promoting a more natural and healthy lifestyle.

She said, “No makeup, no filters, no hair brushing—just a natural me. Let’s say no to artificial enhancements.”

While her message may have had good intentions, its timing—right after Shefali’s death—was seen by many as insensitive, especially because Shefali reportedly used skincare supplements like Vitamin C and Glutathione.

Rakhi Sawant Responds Sharply

Among those who criticized Mallika, Rakhi Sawant was the loudest. Known for her bold opinions, Rakhi fired back in a selfie video, calling out Mallika’s remarks as judgmental and inappropriate.

> “What is this? Mallika Sherawat says she’s natural and blames Botox for Shefali’s death? Who are you to say that? The doctors and forensic reports will reveal the truth!”

— Rakhi Sawant

Rakhi further accused Mallika of exploiting the situation, adding sarcastically that Mallika is trying to act superior by showcasing her natural look.

Rakhi’s Sharp Words and Bollywood Throwback

Rakhi didn’t stop at criticism. She mocked Mallika by singing her old hit song “Bheege Honth Tere” and added,

You’ve spent many nights like that, enough to settle in America. Don’t lecture others.”

Her direct and emotional response gained support from fans who felt Mallika’s timing was in poor taste.
