Currently preparing to play Lord Hanuman in the upcoming mega-budget film Ramayana, Deol has stunned fans not with a teaser—but with the way he travels to shooting locations.
A Moving Palace: Chef, Gym & Badminton Court
In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Puneet Issar shared eye-opening details about Deol’s travel habits. He said:
> “Sunny is truly a kingly man. He doesn’t travel alone. He brings his personal chef, a fully-equipped gym, and even a badminton court along.”
Issar added that a separate truck is arranged to transport all the equipment. Once on location, Deol sets up a full gym and other facilities by himself—never burdening the film’s producers.
> “He pays for it all. That’s what makes him a true gentleman and a royal man,” said Issar.
Flashback to ‘Border’ and Puneet Issar’s Journey
Puneet Issar and Sunny Deol shared the screen in the 1997 war film Border, where Issar played Major Ratan Singh alongside stars like Sunil Shetty, Jackie Shroff, and Akshaye Khanna.
Issar, who gained fame for his portrayal of Duryodhan in Mahabharat, also starred in films like Coolie and Ram Jaane. He credits Deol’s discipline and dignity as key reasons for their bond.

Sunny Deol is currently busy filming for Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The film will star Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Ravana, and Deol as Lord Hanuman. It is expected to release in two parts, with the first hitting screens during Diwali 2026.
