  1. After weeks of online backlash and media speculation, actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh has finally put an end to the rumors surrounding his removal from the much-anticipated war drama Border 2. A behind-the-scenes (BTS) video shared on Instagram confirmed that the actor is very much part of the film and actively involved in its shooting.

Rising Controversy After Sardar Ji 3

The controversy began after Diljit appeared alongside Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in Sardar Ji 3, which was released globally except in India. The decision sparked heated debates, and some film associations even demanded a ban on Diljit in India for working with an actress from a “neighboring country.”

The situation led to wild rumors that Diljit might be dropped from upcoming high-profile projects, including Border 2.

BTS Video Confirms Diljit’s Role

Without making a direct statement, Diljit let the visuals speak for themselves. On Instagram, he posted a BTS video from the Border 2 set, showing himself in an Indian Air Force (IAF) uniform, stepping out of his vanity van and joining fellow cast members. The iconic patriotic song “Sandese Aate Hain” plays in the background, reinforcing the film’s emotional and nationalistic theme.

His caption was simple but powerful: “Border 2.

In Border 2, Diljit plays IAF officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, the only Air Force personnel to receive the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest wartime gallantry award. Sekhon fought bravely in the 1971 Indo-Pak war, defending the Srinagar Air Base singlehandedly.
