Toronto University Launches Unique Course on Diljit Dosanjh’s Global Influence

In a historic move, Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) has announced a first-of-its-kind academic course dedicated to the life, music, and global cultural impact of Diljit Dosanjh, the renowned Indian Punjabi singer, songwriter, and actor. The course will officially launch in late 2026 under TMU’s The Creative School.

This news was announced during the Billboard Summit held in Toronto, and was personally shared by Diljit Dosanjh on his Instagram Stories—much to the excitement of his fans worldwide.

Sonali Singh, CEO of Ripple Effects and Diljit’s manager, expressed pride over the announcement, stating:

This announcement comes at a time when Dosanjh’s upcoming film “Sardar Ji 3” is facing backlash over casting Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. Despite global anticipation, the film is not expected to be released in India due to political sensitivities.
