Businessman and Karisma Kapoor’s former husband, Sanjay Kapur, passed away at the age of 53 after suffering a fatal heart attack while playing polo in the United Kingdom. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he could not survive.

Indian actor and writer Sohail Seth confirmed the news on X (formerly Twitter), expressing his grief. “Deeply saddened by Sanjay Kapur’s passing in the UK. Heartfelt condolences to his family and friends,” he posted.
His Last Post Was About a Tragedy
Ironically, Sanjay Kapur’s final post on X was about another tragedy — an Air India accident in Ahmedabad on June 12. He wrote, “Devastated by the news of the Air India tragedy in Ahmedabad. My thoughts and prayers are with the affected families.”
Marriage and Divorce with Karisma Kapoor
Sanjay Kapur married Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor on September 29, 2003, in a lavish Sikh wedding at her family’s Mumbai residence. The couple lived together for over a decade.
