The Return of a Power Pair: Humayun Saeed & Mahira Khan

Reuniting with Mahira Khan, with whom he shared incredible chemistry in “Bin Roye”, the duo is set to appear on screen together after 11 years, creating much excitement among fans.

Pashtun Culture Takes Center Stage

In a recent promotional tour to Peshawar, Humayun Saeed attended the launch event of the film’s Pashto song “Sada Aashna.” During the event, he spoke with local Pashto media, sharing insights into the film’s storyline, characters, and the cultural significance of including Pashtun elements.

Humayun stated:

“Love Guru is a unique romantic story that explores multiple dimensions of love. But how the story ends — that’s something only the film can reveal.”

When asked about the inclusion of Pashtun culture, he added:

“I’ve always aimed to highlight Pakistan’s diverse cultures in my films. In my previous projects, I’ve portrayed Punjabi, Pashtun, and Sindhi traditions. Representing these communities is essential.”

Mahira Khan Plays a Pashtun Woman

Saeed highlighted that Mahira Khan plays a Pashtun woman from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, emphasizing the need for authentic representation of Pashtuns on screen:

“Sarwat Gilani previously did a fantastic job portraying a Pashtun character. In ‘Love Guru’, Mahira’s character belongs to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and this representation matters a lot for our global Pashtun audience.”

He also praised the Pashto song “Sada Aashna” as a result of the entire team’s hard work and dedication.
